Organize a filing system! For every school that you may be interested in. In the files, put in all of the information that the school has given you such as financial plans, activities and majors they offer, and more. Make sure you highlight all the importants dates such as when they start their application.
- Another file you should have is for standardized test. Make sure you have a copy of the exam reports and that you can access them easily instead of going online every time (make sure it includes test dates and registration deadlines).

Be ahead! Try to retake all the standardized exams to receive a higher grade. It never really hurts to try. Do not forget to try get ahead of starting your personal statement! Try brainstorming ideas and start on your essays so they can be done as early as possible.

Sync your calendar so you can be sure to be notified when you get important deadlines. Make sure you remind yourself a day before and an hour before!

Try to take advantage of your school resources. Meet with your guidance counselor and make the counselor aware of what schools you may be applying to. Your guidance counselor may know important information to give and may benefit you in the future!

Try to have a friend to help you. Having a supportive friend can make you feel more calm and feel comfortable. College applications can be stressful, so you will need a friend to talk to and help you with any trouble that may cross you.

Create a spreadsheet for your college list. This will make you more organized for the college you are applying to and giving you a visualization. Try to include test score requirements, teacher recommendation, interview dates, personal statements, and later submitting your application.

Go for meal coupons than meal plans! Meal plans may be very convenient in the beginning, however, after the eating the same meal every time, you will get tired of it.
